Kansas School Nurse Organization

Strategic Plan 2010-2015

Kansas School Nurse Organization (KSNO) Strategic Plan is our organization’s
process of defining our strategy and direction, and assists with making decisions
to pursue this strategy.  It is a comprehensive plan for accomplishment in
relation to stated goals and objectives, and provides a forward-looking plan that
aims to “map out” the means to achieve longer-term goals for our organization.
 As an affiliate of National Association of School Nurses (NASN), KSNO has
aligned their strategic plan with that of our national organization.

 Over the next five years, KSNO has identified the following goals to assist our organization:

• · KSNO will be an influential advocate for safe and effective school
     health services
• · KSNO will be its members’ primary and indispensible resource for
     school health  programs, services, and experiences
• · KSNO will be the recognized expert voice of school nursing in Kansas
• · KSNO will promote research and knowledge development in child and 
     school   health by improving the reliability, quality and accessibility of
     school health data
